I’m convinced the secret to creating consistency in the kitchen is always having a freezer full of healthy food.
Having a freezer full of unprocessed is not only easy, but it’s affordable. It gives a brand new meaning to “convenience foods”. If you’re looking to upgrade your kitchen in 2020, take a peek inside my freezer and steal an idea or two!
Vegetables: Usually we have fresh protein ready to go, and adding in frozen veggies makes it so much easier! Frozen veggies are great if you need a quick side or want to add extra nutrients to your meal.
Strawberries + blueberries: Smoothies are an easy and quick option in our household, and frozen strawberries are the first things we add. I love to add the blueberries to my overnight oats!
Healthy treats: I’m a sucker for sweets, especially chocolate. I always make sure that I’ve got a treat in the freezer. I highly recommend trying out homemade Reese’s (my fave!) or Twix bars.
Fish: Fish is one of my favorite proteins, so I always have a bag of frozen tilapia or salmon ready to go. Pair it with frozen veggies and you’ll have a meal in 10 minutes flat!
Turkey Burgers: When I want something quick and no fuss turkey burgers are where it’s at. I love to use Jennie-O’s Seasoned Turkey Burgers.
Now get to that freezer and stock up! I promise life will be a bit easier always having something delicious, filling, and nutritious at home and ready to eat!
